Luke,

This weekend we took you swimming at Meme and Poppy's house. You LOVED it! Dad and I knew how much you liked bath time so we figured you would like the pool, we just didn't know how much! Your cousin Megan is a little fish and I have a feeling next summer she is going to have some company in the pool. We will get you into swim lessons as soon as you are old enough so you can continue in your love for the water! :) It's so fun to be a part of all your firsts.

All my love,

Mom

Luke,

It's amazing how much you've grown in so little time! You've started laughing! It is the SWEETEST sound in the whole world. Your whole face lights up when you smile, even your eyes smile. I think you get that from Minnie, her eyes smile too, that way we know how genuine you both are. What a beautiful quality to have. Dad and I video taped you laughing and as soon as I figure it out, I'll post it here so one day you can see it too.

All my love,

Mom
Luke,

The past three months I have been blessed to stay home with you everyday! I can't believe how fast the time has flown by. This week, I will return to work and you will be staying with Bradie. You are going to love her just as much as I do. She is an amazing mother and friend and I'm blessed to have her in my life. She has two daughters who will keep you entertained! Never a dull moment with the Vera's. Of course, I'm only a phone call away and will be wherever you need me whenever! Dropping you off the first day was really hard, but with Bradie's support and your smile, I knew I was doing what was best for our family at this time. It was the first of many first's and you handled it way better than I did. :)

All my love,

Mom

Luke,

Since your arrival, you have blessed our lives in ways we have never thought possible. How were we to know we were missing out on so much until you came. From the moment I saw you, my life changed, of all the "titles" I've had before your arrival, (wife, sister, daughter, daughter-in-law, designer, aunt, etc.) at that very moment, mom was the title I was most proud of. I can't wait to see how your life unfolds. I pray you follow God and his will, and that God will use Taylor and I to raise you in his prescence. One day I will tell you the story of the day you arrived, but for now all I can think about is the overwhemling joy you bring to life.

All my love,

Mom

We are so ready for Luke to get here!! The nursery is all set up. All we are waiting on is Luke.

PUPPPS

Well after 9 months of the easiest pregnancy ever, I ended up getting the PUPPPS rash at 39 weeks of pregnancy. For those of you who have never heard of this, don't worry, I hadn't either. Basically its a rash that starts on your belly and spreads to your hands, feet, legs, and arms and is the most miserable thing I've had since the chicken pox. It itches and burns like you wouldn't believe! I took mulitple oatmeal baths and slept with ice packs all over my body. They say that 80% of the women who get PUPPPS are carrying a boy and its a reaction between your hormones and theirs. The only cure is birth at which the rash disapears almost instantly. I had never been so anxious for Luke to get here as I was at this point. Little did I know that I still ha 2 weeks before he arrived!!! I'll spare you a picture!

Brenda Parrott and Bradie Vera threw us the cutest nursery rhyme baby shower! They are so creative and thoughtful down to every detail. Friends and family surrounded us with love and gifts to welcome the little one. Doesn't seem like it will be too long now! Dr. appt. yesterday found we are 2 cm dilated and 70% effaced. Could be any day, could be weeks, who knows! :) Pictures of the nursery to come!
